Medical Administration Jobs description
A medical administration professional should be well conversant with medical terminology, medical law and ethics and labour law. He/she should be able to handle business communication for the hospital and office management and billing and collection procedure for the hospital effectively, develop policies and procedures and ensure their effective implementation and recruit as well as evaluate the hospital staff. The functions of a medical administration professional includes monitoring day-to-day operations of the hospital, coordinating activities of medical, nursing and the other hospital staff as well as managing the budget and overseeing the financial operations. It is the responsibility of a medical administration professional to develop and implement personnel policies to support patient care and ensure that the records of the patients are maintained and updated on regular basis. Also, a medical administration professional should develop long term relationships with physician partners of the hospital and represent the hospital at community meetings and promote its programs.A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in Medical Administration is required for this position along with multi tasking skills and good communication skills, willingness to perform on on-call duties and experience in the domain.
