Billing Clerk Jobs description

A billing clerk prepares customer bills, tally's bills, and calculates whether discounts or special rates apply. Duties include maintaining documents and records like purchase orders or sales tickets. A billing clerk may also calculate the work hours of employees with reference to implied rates of a company. A billing clerk may operate billing machines, put bills in envelopes, and also send bills to customers electronically via email.

A billing clerk job requires high school education with good mathematical abilities. Business software and accounting knowledge is always an advantage.
