Administrative Assistant Jobs description
The main responsibility of an administrative assistant is to handle documents in accordance with established policies and procedures. An administrative assistant receives and analyzes incoming correspondence; maintains records and operates standard office equipments, including computer, telephone, fax, and copiers; and maintains the highest levels of customer care. An administrative assistant also participates in training so as to improve on reading and communication skills.An administrative assistant should have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). A person with relevant experience is at an advantage. Experience in database management, maintaining calendars, and writing correspondence is beneficial for such positions. An administrative assistant with excellent keyboard and windows environment PC skills has better opportunities.
