Profile
We are looking for a legal secretary or administrator to join the growing Child Care Team at our Margate office, ideally with experience in Family Law and Legal Aid cases but not necessarily as additional training specific to this team will be provided.
The role requires a candidate who has the ability to work at pace and with good humour, whilst retaining a constant eye for detail.
Finding social services involved with your children or dealing with going to court is intimidating for any parent. Our children lawyers represent clients at meetings with social services and in the family courts throughout Kent on most days and often travel further where required.
You will need to be friendly and approachable and able to explain difficult issues to clients in straightforward down to earth language.
Our ideal recruit will be committed to high standards of client care, adept at managing a busy diary, confident and professional and possess excellent audio typing skills.
An adaptable and flexible approach is paramount coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude to work.
Who are we? Boys & Maughan is one of East Kent’s largest and oldest legal practices. We are the market-leaders in the area, with six local offices. Our family team is amongst a select few sets of lawyers listed in the legal industry bible, The Legal 500.
The position is full time and permanent. Your hours will be 9.00am to 5.00pm with 25 days’ holiday per annum.
Please note only applicants with relevant skills will be contacted. If you like the sound of us, then we would really like to hear from you!
To apply please send a CV and covering letter to: Kerry Curson, Human Resources Manager, Boys & Maughan by email
You would be welcome to call Kerry on 01843 234000 if you would like an opportunity to discuss the post before applying.
