PACS Administrator Jobs description
A PACS administrator or picture archive and communication system administrator generally works in the radiology department of a hospital, clinic, or healthcare center. Typical responsibilities of a PACS administrator include monitoring and troubleshooting of picture archive and communication system (PACS), providing training on PACS to new users, working cordially with radiologists and other department members, developing policies and plans for effective functioning of the facilities, delegating responsibilities to subordinates in the department, and participating in strategic management for the organization.A PACS administrator or picture archive and communication system administrator should have a degree in radiology or a related field. Several years of project management experience may also be desired for some positions.
