Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C. is seeking a full-time employee to work within the Marketing department to plan and execute internal and external firm events, with direction from Marketing Director and within budget. The successful candidate will manage relationships with vendors and outside parties; work with attorneys on creating presentations; assist with the promotion of events; track continuing education needs and reporting; and attend events and serve as the main contact. They will also create and publish a monthly internal newsletter; create graphics and social media posts; help with other related tasks as directed; and maintain a positive and professional image to clients, attorneys, staff, speakers and vendors.
Minimum qualifications include:
Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field and/or at least two years prior relevant experience.
Proven ability to proofread typed material for grammatical, typographical, and spelling errors.
Basic technology skills, including working with Windows software, and the willingness to learn new technology. Experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or Canva highly preferred.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with ordinary courtesy and tact and follow instruction effectively from a diverse group of attorneys, staff, and outside vendors.
Ability to work 37.5 or more hours per week in a law firm environment and provide own transportation to and from work. Assignments sometimes require work outside of normal office hours.
Ability to multi-task between multiple events and deadlines; and advanced organizational and time management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and execute internal and external firm events, with direction from Marketing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Attend events and serve as main point of contact.
Manage relationships with vendors and outside parties, for all events. This includes working with outside creative agency on invitations and more.
Help create presentations and other event materials, with help from Marketing Assistant.
Assist Marketing Director in promotion of events, both internally and externally.
Track continuing education needs, submit courses for approval, and coordinate all reporting.
Create and publish monthly internal newsletter with input from various departments and including original content.
Create graphics and social media posts as directed, for various departments and for both internal and external use.
Participate in training programs to learn and incorporate new computer skills and operational methods to meet prevailing Knox Best Practices as required for the position.
Perform all other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by attorneys, the Marketing Director, or the Chief Executive Officer.
