Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Trusts and Estates Section in our New Bern office.
The responsibilities include supporting attorneys and paralegals in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group by assisting with estate planning projects from inception to completion; creating, proofing, editing, revising, and printing correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents; and conferring with clients. Responsibilities may also include assistance with estate administration projects.
Applicants should be multi-task oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, possess strong grammar and punctuation skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma is required, Associate's degree preferred; prior experience as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, or case manager is highly desirable. Must have a NC Notary Public commission or the ability to obtain same.
We offer a generous $2500 sign-on bonus for our Legal Administrative Assistants.
