RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Duty Statement:
Provides support and assistance for attorneys within highly specialized area within the ADP Legal Department.
Interacts routinely with attorneys and other members of the Legal department, associates outside of the Legal department across other business units, and/or third parties, including ADP outside counsel, counsel for Third parties, and government agencies to handle matters within their highly specialized area without input of a managing attorney.
Assists managers with and/or coordination and record-keeping for tracking and reporting of data relevant to functional responsibilities.
Prepares internal presentations and trainings with limited attorney review and may participate in providing training to targeted associate groups.
Assists attorneys in completion of specific initiatives
Independently manages the routine filings or licensing required of the position.
Independently conducts legal research and provides periodical updates.
Handles other legal work as requested by the business and attorneys.

Must make individual judgments and recommendations.
Must possess investigatory, analytical and negotiating skills
Accountability:
Errors may cause substantial delays and affect the quality of work or credibility of the supervisor and department.
Position impacts regional and departmental expenses, client satisfaction, and client retention.
Contacts:
Contact with internal/external individuals at all levels.
Must be able to work with associates in multiple roles and with all levels including senior management.
Position may deal directly with senior SBU field management..
Supervision:
Minimal supervision.
May assign work and provide guidance and direction to others in the department or in other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education Qualification :
Undergraduate degree.
Paralegal certificate required.
Experience :
Substantial (8 years) experience in specific functional area relevant to role.
Minimum of 5 years law firm experience preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and information gathering skills required.
Ability to work under pressure and constant court imposed deadlines.
Must possess good negotiation skills and be able to communicate effectively.
Effective listening and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle matters that are sensitive and confidential.
Must possess investigatory, analytical and negotiating skills.
