Full-time, Salaried position + Benefits Health/Vacation/401k

Schedule 9:15-6:30 Tuesday through Saturday, Thursday 9:15-7:30 with additional Holiday hours during the month of December. 

 

Prospective candidates for Desires by Mikolay’s Office Manager position must possess an expertise in organization, a knack for problem-solving in the workplace, and an upbeat, adaptable attitude in a fast-paced work environment. Prior jewelry store experience and inventory management a plus. Office management experience a must. 

 

Main duties: Provide executive level support to business owners. Assist executives with business related project and tasks. Manager the day to day office operations. 

 

The responsibilities of the Office Manager include but are not limited to:

 

Office duties

  • Cash management and banking
  • Account payables/receivables
  • Track, analyze and generate sales related statistics
  • Work directly with bookkeeper to monitor, review and reconcile expenses
  • Serve as a professional liaison while mediating business matters with bankers, accountants, insurance, vendors, service suppliers and landlord
  • Preparing tax reports from the point of sale for accountants and occasionally running a P&L and balance sheet from QuickBooks as needed
  • Manage office and retail supplies to allow for maximum productivity
  • Evaluate, create, implement, enhance and communicate company process flows and policies
  • Monitor the online store to ensure up to date products/pricing and handle web clients orders/requests and fulfillment

 

 

Human resource duties

  • Handling time off requests and staff schedule
  • Compiling and distributing commission reports
  • Preparing and submitting bi-weekly payroll through ADP
  • Supply monthly individual and store goals
  • Running clientele lists for sales staff monthly. Preparing special event customer lists/targeted promotions when needed
  • Human resources; serve as a liaison with management in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational challenges
  • Assist with performance reviews, interviews, hires and employee exits

 

 

Inventory management

  • Managing, organizing and processing incoming and outgoing inventory checking invoices for accuracy against receiving
  • Processing memo items and ensuring returned/invoiced in a timely manner
  • Correspondence with vendors on special orders, stock orders, inventory errors, stock balancing and more
  • Shipping station and processing
  • Inventorying product in point of sale with descriptions and images, then releasing to staff for display.
