The Role

The Docket Clerk tracks important legal and filing deadlines for designated clients and cases. Manages and reviews records and enters schedules or deadlines into the calendar. The Docket Clerk generates reports detailing action times and due dates. Monitor's deadlines and notes completed tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain docket and calendar system for insurance coverage team

Calendar deadlines for filings in docketing software

Review & save incoming filings from various sources

Assist paralegals with preparing documents for filing with various courts

Prepare and distribute calendar updates to attorneys and legal staff within the team

Assist with mailing/scanning

Perform administrative duties as needed

Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

A strong knowledge of court procedures, regulations and legal regulations

Excellent written and oral communication skills

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, with excellent time management skills to complete projects in a timely fashion

Above all, possess the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information.

Experience

1-3 years of experience in a relevant position
