Essential Functions:

Perform a variety of duties such as registration, data entry and secretarial functions. Must be able to perform all general office functions and services.

Major Duties:

Open and close office as necessary. Be a phone receptionist. Prepare and execute enrollment verifications. Request/collect documents to maintain student files; notifies Financial Aid when student files are complete; log incoming transcripts; process name/demographic/address change requests; register students for classes; process withdrawals and drop/add forms; prepare and disseminate the cancel/drop/add report daily; assist students and faculty with questions/requests; disseminate faxes; supervise student workers; and other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

The Registrar must possess requisite levels of the following knowledge and skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Detail oriented.

Be a team player who proactively looks for ways to improve the effectiveness and student perceptions of the university and the office.

Ability to help students, faculty, and staff in a professional manner.

Must have competency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

Strong ability to multitask and problem solve.

Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is essential.

Education and Experience:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will be required to do the following:

Ambulatory around campus and in buildings.

Required to sit for long periods and frequently walk about the office.

Frequently use wrist, hands and/or fingers to make small repetitive movements such as typing, distributing mail and picking up small objects.

Ability to talk frequently to convey detailed and/or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly.

Be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive verbal information.

Required to lift packages and/or move heavy objects, 25 lbs.
