Key performance areas

The Logistics Administrative Support position will organize inbound and/or outbound logistical operations, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products. This position will be responsible for coordinating the USMCA and 232 shipment information.

The main responsibilities of the Logistics Administrative Support include:

Control/communicate/process documentation related to the USMCA 232 tariff regulation

Administers an effective system that meets the organization's logistics needs through efficient transportation of raw materials, component parts and/or finished goods

Work with a variety of computer programs and be well versed in steel terminology and jargon, in addition to the current political climate including 232 tariffs (and proposed US sanctions)

Responsible for scheduling receipt of purchase orders and shipping schedules of import materials

Verify, confirm and store import shipping documents and prepare additional custom documents necessary

Control/communicate with vendors; provide additional documents to dispute uncertain invoices

Preparing, processing and issuing export bills of lading

Ensure documentation is in 100% compliance with booking, quality, and regulatory standards

Coordinate and process documentation to include ocean bills of lading and letters of credit.

Correspond to all issues related to shipment with freight forwarders/shipping lines, factory, warehouse, and customers

Responsible for processing shipper diversions, as well as coordinating with overseas agents pertaining to export shipments

Create and produce reports as necessary

Your profile

The Logistics Administrative Support must have 2-6 years of experience. Possess an Associate degree is preferred. The ideal professional should have excellent computer skills in addition to superior communication skills, ability to interact will all levels of the organization in a team environment.

Maintains appropriate licenses, training and/or certifications, as needed

Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within our area of expertise

Works within standard operating procedures

Works with a moderate degree of supervision

Uses communication skills to exchange information

Candidates should be self-motivated, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment

You’re flexible, adjusting well to change, and remain calm under pressure with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
