The compensation consists of a base salary

Job Summary:

Manages projects as assigned, assists with the development and implementation of internal and external communications, communication and collateral related to product lines and/or services.

Assists Director and Public Relations Specialist and provides support for special projects and events.

Ability to multi-task, team-oriented and organized.

Participates in formulating and communicating hospital messages to staff and community through a variety of media including websites and social media.

Has hands-on involvement in event coordination that will achieve measurable results in raising the hospital’s visibility in the market, reinforcing its branding messages, and solidifying its position as an industry leader.

Provides administrative support to the department.

Community Responsibilities:

Provides support for community relations activities and events

Assists with seminars and community health fairs to promote targeted clinical services including day, evening and weekend events and represents hospital in community organizations and events

Provides guidance on planning and implementing activities and events to raise awareness of facility service lines.

Other facility duties and special projects as assigned

Major Responsibilities:

Works to improve management and employee relations through consistent and clear communications

Coordinates with marketing team and HR to prepare internal and external communications

Responsible for developing and distributing internal newsletters

Assists in communicating important announcements by management to physicians, employees, staff and others

Facilitates all marketing and PR requests from assigned service lines and ensures departmental/product line needs are met

Assists with facilitating internal and external photography sessions and videography as needed

Helps to maintain website and intranet content and ensures all information is up to date; writes new/enhanced content as needed.

Ability to submit, process and manage invoices for the marketing department (be the liason between marketing, accounting and vendors as needed)

Assists on social media activities and initiatives

Develops wide variety of other communication and collateral pieces, sales, marketing pieces, and service line product/service sheets

Ability to guide the work of multi-disciplinary project teams.

Strong interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to interact with consultants, vendors and patients.

Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Strong organization skills.

Electronic Media

Assists website development and refinement projects.

Responsible for completion of electronic newsletters and community messages.

Assists with content development and refinement for all social media efforts.

Provide back-up for day-to-day postings and updates to the website and all social media.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites

Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Video recording and editing experience (Knowledge of iMovie and podcast/digital download software [i.e. MediaConnect and SharePoint])

Education and Experience

Degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, business, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Healthcare experience in marketing, public relations, research, sales, communication and interactive social media (internet/web) necessary to understand and direct efforts.
