Inuit Services, Inc is seeking a General Clerk II - Personal Property Shipping Office in Bloomington, MN.
The General Clerk must demonstrate proficiency in office procedures and perform administrative, clerical, and keyboarding duties. The clerk will follow prescribed procedures to complete repetitive clerical tasks. The clerk must also be able to recognize exceptional situations, respond with sound business solutions and follow clearly detailed procedures. This position requires initiative and the ability to work independently while performing daily office tasks such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, and other similar duties using a computer terminal, and other word processors. Refers matters exceeding authority to supervisor for proper disposition. Will interact with military and civilian personnel of all ranks/grades in discharging assigned responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs general clerical and administrative tasks; composes correspondence, updates and maintains records.
Prepares suspense control documents, reports, and maintains suspense files.
Sets up and maintains logs, rosters, status charts, and graphs, requisitions requirements for office supplies.
Answer multi line phones in a professional and courteous manner.
Inspect services performed against documentation verifying correctness of incoming and outgoing shipments. Comparison will be done using bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or shipment documents. Inspection will be done with governing regulations, instructions or quality assurance surveillance plans.
Duties require that vendor services are verified to ensure completeness and compliance in accordance with contractual and or tariff requirements. Completed work is reviewed for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
Perform basic review of documents for accuracy and conformity to established standards.
Requires the ability to organize and/or coordinate work efficiently and set priorities.
Comply with regulations as applicable to the contract, site, and work center.
Database software experience preferred.

Job Requirements :
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have two (2) years experience in clerical duties and administrative support functions.
Experience with interpreting instructions, technical manuals and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment.
Must meet citizenship requirements to work in the United States.
Obtain an interim clearance prior to starting.
Must have a valid driver's license with NO major infractions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have working knowledge of computers, typewriters, and other office equipment
Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
Ability to keyboard 45 wpm, operate a 10-key calculator; word processing and spreadsheet experience required.
Must communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees and government personnel.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Must have working knowledge of calculators, preparing/filing of written documents.
Work harmoniously with other employees promoting teamwork and cooperation.
Ability to work in fast paced and compliance driven environment.
Ability to take initiative to ask questions and/or voice concerns in order to clarify task goals prior to completing work tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to follow directions
