Data Entry Specialist

Profile

This position requires proficiency and experience with high-confidence data entry utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and database software systems. Individuals must be able to manipulate engineering data following entry to create, format, modify, import and export both text and graphic data for production of final delivery data products. Technician must be able to operate in a rapid production environment for sustained periods of time while maintaining high levels of precision and quality control. This technician must be able to follow and execute assigned instructions with a high level of confidence and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
Remove engineering drawings from offline pending server, performs cleanup procedures on graphics and replaces drawing as new file on existing pending server
Verify and corrects engineering data for 100% accurate index inquiry information according to specified Air Force standards
Release engineering drawings into permanent JEDMICS database for worldwide retrieval
Perform population of engineering data drawing title into index portion of JEDMICS for “retrieval by noun”
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
High school diploma or GED AND
At least 1-3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Basic computer skills including some knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Mandatory:
Knowledge of computer data entry systems, protocols and procedures
Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
Word processing and/or data entry skills
Knowledge of efficient document flow procedures
Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications
Able to adapt to change Ability to effectively deliver quality of work for position
Knowledgeable in computer software and hardware
Desirable:
Resolve problems and inconsistencies with engineering data at task level
Portray a positive image and attitude to coworkers
